German course Level A1


In the A1 German courses in GLS Center you will use familiar and everyday expressions and very simple sentences that aim to meet specific needs. You learn how to introduce yourself and talk about simple everyday situations.

The Course Outcome

Can understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple sentences, which relate to the satisfying of concrete needs.
Can introduce him/herself and others as well as ask others about themselves – e.g. where they live, who they know and what they own – and can respond to questions of this nature.
Can communicate in a simple manner if the person they are speaking to speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.
The following language functions are among those practiced: asking the way; giving directions; asking for and giving information; discussing home and the household; describing people and their character; defining shape, size and color of objects; asking for and giving opinions; the working world; returning faulty goods to a shop.
